Yesterday, despite it being a Sunday, I set my alarm for 6.30am in order to get up in time to make it to London, hang an exhibition and get back to the IOW all in a day. I jumped on the Fast Cat at 8.47 lugging with me 16 framed and glazed drawings. Phew, my muscles are feeling it today! I arrived at Freud on Shaftesbury Avenue and started placing the drawings, working out how to hang them without overcrowding each piece. As all my work is black and white and highly detailed it can all look a bit much when clustered together, but the Cafe/Bar at Freud is a vast with an industrial feel, so the pieces settled in nicely.
The drawings exhibited are all related to characters from my book “Escargot Masquerade and Other Stories” which is being printed as I write, and will be available to buy from the 16th of July.
